My Story

I’m Katarina Lukić, a highly creative person who graduated as BSc and later MSc at Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, with a mix of IT and business-related subjects.

My goal is to help B2B SaaS companies grow, and my motto is: “functionality for target audience first”. This is how I’ll approach your content, too. Walking in other people’s shoes was always easy for me. Tell me who your audience is - I’ll learn all about it and develop and implement corresponding content strategy. I especially enjoy learning complicated topics and explaining them in simple terms to other people.

In my spare time, I love reading, drawing, dancing, binge-watching series, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Experience

For the last 6 years I’ve been an independent Content Strategist and Technical Writer for tech companies, with a focus on B2B SaaS industry. I am incorporating all the knowledge collected throughout the years to support my client’s growth trough impeccable content.

Before I entered the world of content, I worked in two international corporations: as an Information Management Specialist at Telenor, a telecommunication company, and as an Intelligent Dispatch Agent at NCR, an IT company.

Before that I held a title of Assistant Manager in a hosting company. My humble beginnings include Operator in a gaming center, Co-founder of a local dance troupe, and activities in a student organization ESTIEM. Check my LinkedIn profile for more details.

The Content Strategy Process

Content strategy refers to management of various types of content, be it written, visual, downloadable, etc. My primary focus is website content strategy and customer experience while browsing the website. The end goal is to position you as an expert behind the products and services you offer.

1. Defining the Goal

The first step in the process is to identify what is the end goal you want to achieve. Depending on the goal, I will help you plan and execute the appropriate type of content for your target audience.

2. Conducting Persona Research

Who is your target audience? This is the question that many companies struggle to answer. By knowing your audience, also known as buyer persona, you can produce the relevant and valuable content that they'll want to consume.

3. Running a Content Audit

If you’ve been in the business for some time, there is a good chance your content is outdated, that your target audience changed, and what you created years ago doesn’t serve you anymore. By running a content audit I’ll help you see a broader picture and decide what content to let go, what to repurpose and what to keep.

4. Brainstorming Content Ideas

Once you have your buyer persona and you went trough existing content, it’s time to plan for the future. Brainstorming is the process of collecting the ideas in one place. I’ll help you put general ideas in contexts that will appeal to your target audience.

5. Determining the Type of Content

Once we have ideas in front of us, it’s time to decide in what format to publish it - video, blog post, ultimate guide, white paper, email sequence, etc.

6. Publishing & Managing the Content

With all the content brainstormed and decided how to publish it, there comes the scheduling and creating each piece in due time. With the help of editorial calendars, I’ll create a schedule for each type of content. There is an option to have dedicated days, e.g. Monday for blog posts, Wednesday for videos, Fridays for ultimate guides.

The Writing Process

You may think writing process goes like this: you say what you need and I sit down and write it under a few hours. While there are cases when it can be done that way, in most cases it includes a lot of pre-writing and post-writing work.

1. Collecting Information

In this phase I collect information and learn about your company, target audience, and desired outcome. I also like to look into existing materials that you like or don’t like to get a sense of a writing style to use.

2. Research and Outline

This is where I use collected knowledge from the first phase and do additional research. Depending on the expected deliverable, this phase includes researching the topic I write about or getting acquainted with your product/services, and make an outline of the text.

3. Writing

Once you approve the outline, there comes the actual writing. This is where I use the researched material the most and create something original.

4. Editing

When I finish the writing, you can read it and add comments on what you like and don’t like. This is also the phase where I correct grammar and style mistakes that have crept in, and double check references used in text.
